Hello! First, let me thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I'm a filmmaker, a story teller, a hiker, and a people watcher. I'm based out of Wilmington, North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington as a film studies major. I currently work as a Production Assistant for the TV shows and movies in town.
I'm fascinated by people and the nuanced decisions they make within society. I like to reflect that in my work. I like to acknowledge the grey areas in life, the messy and grungy decisions that make life imperfect but beautiful. Through acknowledging the spectrum of humanity I hope to bring us closer together in a divisive world. Elevating the voice of minorities who for a long time have been intentionally silenced. Through focusing on what's similar rather than different maybe we can begin to have a long conversation on how to move forward. I'm also very passionate about the environment. I have a deep respect for mother nature and her creatures, and that includes us. The enduring properties of life are humbling. I also like to reflect that in my work. Displaying natures beauty, it's fury, and the balance between itself and man. As we get closer to a tipping point in the Anthropocene, I hope my work can help us understand how embracing nature embraces human development. As Jeff Goldblum's iconic character Ian Malcolm once said in Jurassic Park, "Life finds a way." |
